US Soccer honors life of George Floyd by launching ‘One Nation’ programming in communities across the country
CHICAGO (May 25, 2021) – On the one-year memorial to George Floyd’s murder, US Soccer highlights its commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB ) by announcing specific actions that will have a significant impact on issues and create more equitable and inclusive communities in the football landscape.
Under the aegis of “ One Nation ”, the social responsibility platform of US Soccer, the Federation is focused on taking specific action to inspire greater inclusion and generate real change.
As our national women’s and men’s teams return to regular programming and resume playing games across the country, US Soccer outlined cohesive and ongoing DEIB programs and projects that Federation staff will implement in each community. Our senior teams will play games for the purpose of driving. change at the local level.
