“There are things I have to change”
Kenny Omega has confirmed that he will be taking time off from AEW programming after dropping the AEW World Championship to Hangman Page during Full Gear.
This week’s Dynamite opening featured the elite in a behind-the-scenes segment. During the segment, the former AEW champion congratulated Page. He then claimed that there were things he needed to change:
“You know I haven’t watched the Full Gear game yet and people are already asking me when the rematch is going to be. When are you going to get your Kenny belt back. I lost that game; the elite lost at night Frankly I’m a little disgusted.
Not in your hanger, you won. Congratulation. Really well done. I feel like there are things I need to fix and there are things I need to change and I can’t do it here. So if I can count on you to hold the fort while I am gone, I would be very grateful.
This prompted a response from Adam Cole explaining that he will take care of things. However, Kenny Omega then allowed him to speak to the Young Bucks.
The former NJPW star has been struggling with multiple nagging injuries for some time now. They say he’s going to be absent for a shoulder operation. Stay tuned for an update on how long he may be out of action.
