The years 2020 and 2021 have been golden years for H-1B employees. Most H-1B employees could work remotely, and the visa bulletin priority dates were moved to January 1, 2015 for the EB2 India category.
Covid caused most US embassies to close for a long time. As a result, most family green cards could not be issued and were deferred to the employment-based quota. This has resulted in a windfall of green cards for job-based categories.
However, in 2022, most U.S. embassies began issuing family green cards, and a minimum number of family green cards can be transferred to employment-based green cards after September 2022.

When the IT job market is booming, it’s no good getting stuck in one hundred and twenty thousand full-time jobs. The money is in IT consulting, not full-time IT jobs. A full-time H-1B employee can do a second IT consulting remote project via concurrent H-1B.
