ImagineIF Launches Fall Programming | Daily Inter Lake


September kicks off fall programming for ImagineIF Libraries, and there’s something in store for all ages.

According to a statement from ImagineIF, story time for children up to age 5 returns this week. Participants can sing, dance, read and explore in fun, interactive lessons for babies, toddlers and preschoolers, with hands-on activities to follow along with story time. At the Kalispell branch, preschool storytime takes place on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. and babies and toddlers storytime takes place on Wednesdays at 11 a.m.

In Bigfork, Story Time will take place at the Ark Building – the future home of the new Bigfork branch – and will take place on Thursdays at 11 a.m. At the Columbia Falls branch, Babies and Toddlers Storytime will be Mondays at 11 a.m. and Preschool Storytime. will take place on Thursday at 11 a.m.

For teens, ImagineIF encourages kids in grades 6-12 to stop by and check out their creative scene, happening all month in Kalispell, Bigfork, and Columbia Falls. The September activity will be felting. Stop by to see what the latest activity is, and also check out their online resources, which include access to numerous academic databases and Creativebug.com, home to over 1,000 art and craft video courses. crafts taught by renowned design experts and artists.

Teens can also stop by the Teen Zone at the Kalispell branch for Nintendo Switch Days, grades 6-12. They will alternate between Super Smash Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 every Wednesday in September until 6 p.m.

ImagineIF’s marketing and communications coordinator, Lune Axelsen, said customers should stay tuned for October, when they plan to announce all-new teen programming.

Customers also have the opportunity to view local artwork on display at branches in Kalispell and Columbia Falls. Local artist Tom Roberts will exhibit his Montana wildlife oil paintings at the Kalispell branch, and Keri Keefe’s vibrant watercolors can be seen at the Columbia Falls branch.

Friends of ImagineIF Libraries will hold their book club on the second Tuesday of every month. On October 11, they will discuss “The Splendid and the Vile” by Erik Larson. They meet at 3 p.m. in the meeting room of the Kalispell agency.
