Cooler air to end the week and then warm up again this weekend
The heat returned with Corpus Christi hitting 82 degrees for Wednesday high. That will change on Thursday as a cold front moves and cooler air arrives later today.
Wednesday evening we will have light winds with lows in the 40’s above 50 inland to near 60 on the coast with fog developing and dense in areas by Thursday morning.
Temperatures will reach the mid-1970s on Thursday afternoon with northerly winds increasing to 20mph in the evening, gusting up to 35mph on the coast as cooler air enters.
Minimums will drop to the low in the mid-1940s by Friday morning
Friday is shaping up to be chilly with highs in the 60s to mid with a northeast breeze up to 15mph. Clouds will intensify with a few rain showers developing on Friday evening as the southern humidity returns. Precipitation will be uneven with amounts less than a quarter of an inch.
The southerly breeze will increase on Saturday afternoon, warming temperatures through the mid-1970s under partly cloudy skies. Saturday night will be mild with lows in the mid 60s.
Sunday seems to be the hottest day of the weekend as we get close to 80 degrees. A cold front will move in the afternoon, shifting the winds northward. Isolated showers are possible in the early evening but little rain is expected.
Clouds will persist until Monday morning, keeping temperatures in the 40s with a cold day, only reaching near 60 on Monday with the northerly breeze.
