Catholic Charities Seeking Volunteers for Holiday Programming

ST. CLOUD – Catholic Charities hopes to provide positive experiences for families in central Minnesota this holiday season.

The non-profit organization launches its annual holiday programming and is in need of volunteers.

Eric Vollen is the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Catholic Charities. He says their Share the Spirit and Toys for Tots events are not only looking for people to sponsor families, but also to pack and deliver the collected items.

If you know someone or are part of a group that would like to volunteer, we would love to welcome you to our program or any other program within Catholic charities.

Vollen says the Toys for Tots collections will begin next month and ship on December 9.

Share the Spirit gifts will be collected on December 16 and delivered on December 17.

Vollen says they are also asking for more volunteers to help with their food department.

Rising energy costs during the winter months create a financial burden for families in central Minnesota, leading more households to seek help from Catholic Charities Emergency Services Food Shelf. So we know that additional food, funds and volunteers are needed to meet this need.
